The Terrible, Horrible Discovery

Image
Friday night we had major rainstorms with tons of rain all night long. Saturday morning, Ben woke up around 4:30am to drive to go to a 10K Mud Run. Around 9am Mom went downstairs to check the basement for any water leaks. To her devastating surprise, the carpet was soaked, and, upon further discovery, realized that both sump pumps weren't working and that water was seeping in through the foundation of the entire basement.  In shock, Mom called Poppa who has experienced this before for advice. Faanunu Family Reunion

Only 4 days after the DeVries Family Reunion, we packed up and hit the road to California for the Fa'anunu Family Reunion! Ava slept a lot and we kept her hydrated and within 1 day she was back to normal with an appetite again thankfully! We drove straight through the night and checked into the hotel the next day in the afternoon. Dad gave Mom a break and took the kiddos to the pool while mom enjoyed some quiet time and ordered dinner. He is the BEST! We enjoyed yummy sticky fingers and sides from WINGERS, watched some shows and then crashed.  The next morning, we ate breakfast and hit the road for the final stretch. We arrived at our Airbnb Saturday evening, grabbed some yummy pizza, settled in, and stopped by to see family. We stayed and talked for a while and then Mom took the littles home to sleep and left Dad, Elayna and Melanie to hang out. Elayna learned to play MAGIC game with her cousin Dustin and loved it and Melanie played with Lily and tried bobba balls for the first ti...
